Winter Conservation Workshop and Information Session

New Date Added! Rhode Island farm and forest landowners are invited to attend a public workshop and open house.

Rhode Island farm and forest landowners are invited to attend a public workshop and open house. Meet representatives from your local Conservation District and the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS). Learn about federal funding opportunities through USDA NRCS and have a chance to ask questions specific to your property at the open house.

USDA NRCS programs provide funding for farm and forest land owners and operators who would like to practice conservation on their land. NRCS provides financial and technical assistance for practices such as:

  • Soil health improvements
  • Seasonal high tunnels
  • Forest management plans
  • Pollinator habitat creation
  • Forest trails and landings
  • Wetlands reserve easements
  • And many more!

All events are free but please RSVP so that we can prepare materials and notify you of any snow cancellations. We look forward to meeting you! Call the Southern Rhode Island Conservation District at 401-500-0422 or visit https://sricd.org to register for the event.
