Date Correction: This Saturday, December 7 - Funding Sign-Up Session for RI Farmers & Forest Landowners

Attention RI Farmers, Forest Managers, Oyster Growers, Ranchers and Urban Growers

Do you want to improve your farm or forest health? Improve the wildlife habitat on your land? Improve energy efficiency and save money? Have cleaner air and water? Start a community garden?

USDA’s Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) in Rhode Island has funding to help Ocean State farmers and forest landowners implement Climate-Smart Agriculture and Forestry Mitigation Activities through our Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP) and Conservation Stewardship Program (CSP). This funding is NRCS's largest conservation investment in history!

Climate-smart conservation practices and activities can provide our clients with significant benefits, including improved forest & soil health, water quality, pollinator and wildlife habitat and air quality; wildfire mitigation; reduced greenhouse gas emissions and increased carbon sequestration, in addition to financial benefits.

SRICD and NRCS offer a variety of practices like cover crops, tree planting, composting facilities, pasture & hay planting, wildlife habitat planting, efficient irrigation systems and more!

Join us this Saturday morning to sign up for funding, technical assistance or to get your questions answered:
